Intended to assist with continuing educational expenses.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize a PBSA junior member whose commitment to sailing, volunteerism, sportsmanship, and community service best reflects the values of the Peconic Bay Sailing Association.
The scholarship recipient will be selected by a committee appointed by the PBSA Executive Committee. To promote fairness, all applications will be reviewed anonymously, with identifying information removed before evaluation. Applications will be judged solely on the published selection criteria. The scholarship will be presented at the Whitebread Awards Dinner, or another PBSA event designated by the Executive Committee.
The PBSA Executive Committee reserves the right not to award the scholarship in any year in which the Committee determines that no applicant sufficiently meets the published criteria.
